Travel Agency Services were recently tendered by the Office of Government Procurement and Club Travel won this competitive tender. The Institute has now notified Club Travel that it will activate it services under that tender for 2015/16 and for a possible two further years.

The Institute currently uses Club Travel so the existing ETR (Electronic Travel Request) system for booking all flights will remain in place.  This service can also be used to book rail travel to Dublin or to book or prepay for accommodation in Ireland and abroad.

A new charging model will apply from 1st June 2015.  This will change from the current flat booking fee per person to a percentage of the invoice value. The fee will be 3.69% of the booking plus VAT.  Having analysed 2014 bookings this represents a potential reduction in fees of approximately 20%
