New Project Requests

Request to set up New Cost Centre


The Project Manager should complete the Approval of New Cost Centre Code Form (P01.6) to request the set up of a new cost centre. The form must be signed by a Head of Department / School or Head of Centre, as appropriate. A copy of the contract, grant agreement, letter of offer or purchase order relating to the project should be provided with the completed form to the appropriate Finance contact in the Self-Financing Office. The budget breakdown should also be provided, if it is not already included in the contract.


If everything is in order, the new cost centre code request is approved and set up on the system. The Project Manager is notified and issued with a "New Project Code" letter.
