Motor Rates (from 1st September 2022)
The updated Motor rates on 1st September apply. Rates are based on the engine capacity of your vehicle. Where you use a fully electric vehicle (not hybrid), you should now use the category 'Engine Size from 1,201cc to 1,500cc'

A flat rate applies to student motor allowance claims in relation to travel for sports clubs and societies. For other student travel, that is eligible for reimbursment from research grants or other funds, the appropiate staff rate may be applied.

Travel to/from Dublin
Motor allowances for travel to/from Dublin from Cork or Tralee are generally capped at the Adult Standard Day return Rail Fare. You should select Rail in lieu when claiming and include the following rates
